Du, a leading telecommunications service provider in the UAE, is the official sponsor of STEP Conference 2017, the largest interactive gathering in the Middle East and North Africa.
The three-day event, which opened in Dubai today (April 5), aligns with du’s existing endeavours to support entrepreneurship in the UAE, and forms just one part of the telco’s larger vision of creating an environment for innovation to thrive, du said.
The du Stage, at the event, is hosting upcoming innovators and entrepreneurs from across the region, who will demonstrate the work that they are doing in their respective start-ups.
During the event Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) chief executive officer Osman Sultan delivered a keynote speech addressing the importance of connectivity and digital integration in innovation. He also discussed the growth and expansion of the UAE’s entertainment industry, and in particular the role that du has taken in supporting the growth of this industry.
The event brings together Mena entrepreneurs, investors, and tech and media enthusiasts from the technology, digital and entertainment industries. The third day of the event is dedicated to music, and the du Stage will transform to host the music conference.
