With an overall score of 73.07 out of 100, Tunisia was ranked 48th in terms of social progress according to the Social Progress Index.
Our country ranks after the United Arab Emirates (45), but ahead of Qatar (57), Jordan (62), Oman (66), Lebanon (73), Algeria (74), Turkey (75) ), Morocco (76), Saudi Arabia (85) and Egypt (95).
In first place in this ranking are Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Denmark and Finland.
Tunisia scored well in terms of nutrition and basic medical care (94,27), water and sanitation (92,53), human rights (85,31) and access to knowledge basic (83.38). The lowest scores were in Access to higher education (30,31), inclusivity (49.01), personal safety (65,37), health and well-being ( 66,36) and personal choices and freedoms (72.16).
