Siemens to showcase IoT-enabled suite at GITEX in Dubai
Siemens, a leading global conglomerate company based in Germany, announced it will launch an internet of things (IoT)-enabled suite of hardware and software technologies for the first time at GITEX Technology Week to be held in Dubai from 6 to 10 October 2019.
The IoT-enabled smart office suite has been designed to provide office buildings in the Middle East with smarter, more flexible, human-centric working spaces, according to a press release.
The suite complements the company’s technologies portfolio that allows office buildings to act in response to user input and environmental data, where office spaces can adapt to the needs of employees via real-time analytics to ensure productivity and energy efficiency, Siemens highlighted.
Markus Strohmeier, senior executive vice president of Regional Solutions and Services at Siemens Middle East, said: “Today’s workforce deserves a more productive, agile, and flexible working environment”
“A digitalized, data-driven approach to the office environment ensures that workspaces are optimized for both employee and building performance. With the Middle East focusing on smarter, people-focused cities, it’s a perfect place to embrace these technologies for the future of work,” Strohmeier added.
The smart office suite includes technologies from the recently acquired firms by Siemens; Comfy and Enlighted.
