The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday in red territory, after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged 215.42 points, or 2.8%, to 7,619.37 points.
By 10:30 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 36.69 million shares exchanged through 25,660 transactions at a turnover of SAR 815.59 million.
The energy, materials, banking, and telecommunication services sectors levelled down 3.3%, 3.2%, 3%, and 2.2%, respectively.
National Industrialization Co’s (Tasnee) stock led losers with 4.5%, while the Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock topped gainers with 9.98%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, retreated 59.85 points, or 2.4%, to 2,475.70 points.
Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock went down 1%.
