Nakheel, a leading property developer based in Dubai, on Wednesday announced it is pumping AED 114 million of investments into roads and bridges.
Through this investment, the state-owned real estate developer will provide motorists with direct access from Al Khail Road to Al Khail Avenue, its new retail, dining, and entertainment development at Jumeirah Village in Dubai, according to a press release.
The construction work will commence immediately following the signing of the contract that took place today and is due for completion in 2020.
The links will offer seamless entry to and exit from the mall with Al Khail Avenue’s 4000-space multi-storey car park and the access points located at Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT).
Nakheel has appointed Wade Adams Contracting LLC to build the access routes under the supervision of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Al Khail Avenue, set for opening in 2020, is being operated by Nakheel’s retail arm Nakheel Malls and it features 350 shops, restaurants, entertainment outlets, and services, and it will be connected to a 267-room hotel, operated under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.
Numerous residents and workers in JVT and surrounding areas, including Nakheel’s Jumeirah Village Circle, Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Park, and Al Furjan residential communities, and commercial hubs such as JAFZA and Dubai World Central, will benefit from the project.
