The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) main index ended Sunday’s trading session up 0.22% or 12.2 points, closing at 5680.55 points.
Six stocks led the rise, backed by Ooredoo and Bank Muscat with 1.38% each, followed by Oman Cement Company which rose 1.22%.
The services sector went up 0.03% with Oman Invest and Finance Company (OIFC) going up 0.88% and Acwa Power Barka (APBS) ascending 0.54%
However, the industry sector retreated 0.09%, weighed down by Al Hassan Engineering which decreased 2.04% and Oman Fisheries which plunged 1.67%
The financial sector decreased 0.01%, weighed down by five stocks, led by Oman and Emirates Investment Holding Company (OEIO) which lost 2.94%
Trading volume declined to 8.01 million shares on Sunday against 16.67 million shares on Thursday. Traded value fell to OMR 2.94 million from OMR 5.81 million.
