Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemaïes Jhinaoui received Wednesday in Tunis, ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Tunis, Mohamed Bin Mahmoud Al Ali.
Means to strengthen cooperation and fraternity relations between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia and the results of the visit made by the Minister on May 13 and 14 in Riyadh were the focus of the meeting.
According to a statement of the Foreign Affairs Department, Jhinaoui voiced satisfaction at the development of fraternity and cooperation relations binding Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, especially after the holding, last July in Tunis, of the Tunisian-Saudi Joint Commission meeting.
In this connection, he praised Saudi Arabia’s continued support to Tunisia to meet the challenges ahead and boost its economy.
The meeting also reviewed the preparations for the 30th session of the Arab Summit scheduled for 2019 in Tunis.
According to the statement, Tunisia will draw on the Saudi experience in organising the 29th Arab Summit held last April.
For his part, the Saudi diplomat stressed his country’s will to strengthen its cooperation with Tunisia in all areas and to identify new opportunities for cooperation.
