The Minister of Investment Mubarak Al-Fadhil discussed, at his office Thursday, with the Chairman of the Chinese-African Development Fund of the Chinese Development Bank Xi Liang the possibility and opportunities of investment in agriculture, mining and financing of Chinese projects in Sudan.
The Minister of Investment stressed the advanced relations of cooperation between Sudan and China, particularly in the economic fields. He said that the Sudan aspired more Chinese investment flows, which proved their economic feasibility and role in production and introduction of modern technologies, welcoming the delegation of the Fund and its desire to finance investment projects in light of the political stability and economic development in the country.
The head of the delegation explained that the Fund, in partnership with Chinese companies, has been studying the production projects in which the Fund contributes with up to 30 percent, pointing to the possibility of the Fund’s access into the implementation of projects with partners in the country, referring to a number of projects funded in a number of countries, pointing out that their visit to Sudan came with purpose of getting acquainted with the political and economic developments and to get informed on the plans, policies and investment opportunities in the productive sectors.
The head of the delegation expressed the desire of the Fund to enter into investment projects through the funding modes in Sudan in the fields of mining, agriculture, solar energy, airlines and establishment of cities.
The meeting underscored provision of comprehensive studies and information on the proposed projects.
