EgyptAir Holding Company is expected to post additional profits of up to EGP 2.5 billion during the period from 2019 to 2022 after restructuring the air carrier and its subsidiaries, Egypt’s civil aviation minister said.
Egypt’s flagship airline has adopted a long-term strategy for the period between 2018 and 2022 to increase return on investment, Younis El-Masry added.
During the first half of fiscal year 2018/2019, the number of passengers rose by 11%, El-Masry revealed.
In addition, EgyptAir Holding Company’s profits registered EGP 951 million during the period from July to December.
Furthermore, the air carrier and its subsidiaries have paid EGP 8 billion in taxes during the period from FY10/11 to FY17/18.
