The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session with a sideways-to-rising performance.
The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.21% to finish the first session of the week at 14,210 points.Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index grew by 0.18% to close at 606.63 points, while the broader EGX100 index went up 0.19% to 1,549.83 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted EGX50 index was unchanged at 2,120 points.
Market capitalisation gained about EGP 770 million to close at EGP 760.56 billion on Sunday, compared to EGP 759.79 billion on Thursday.
Trading volume registered nearly 83.99 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.06 billion through around 15,820 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 69.38 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 10.59 million and EGP 58.78 million, respectively.
