The number of visitors to the emirate of Dubai has jumped by 5% at the end of February, data by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) showed.
The GCC emirate has welcomed around 1.53 million visitors per night last February, versus 1.46 million visitors in the same month of 2018, data revealed.
This highlights the solid attractiveness of Dubai as a global tourism destination, according to the DTCM.
The main markets in the emirate have helped in achieving remarkable growth in the number of visitors, which bolstered the tourism sector, the DTCM indicated in a press release.
Furthermore, this will carry out the objectives of the Tourism Vision 2022-2025 that aims to attract more tourists annually by 2025, as well as contributing to Dubai’s gross domestic product (GDP), the DTCM added.
