Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said on Sunday the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under its wise leadership, is the protective shield of Arab and Islamic nations, touting its historic support for the right, justice and religion.
Speaking at a ceremony to launch a main avenue in Manama named after the late Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud AlFaisal, Prince Khalifa said Bahrain appreciates Saudi Arabia’s honorable supportive stances towards it and its people, as well its historic stances for backing its security and stability at all regional and international gatherings.
The Bahraini premier said AlFaisal was a distinguished example for national dedication and deserved to be held in high esteem by everybody, saying that the Bahraini people would never forget his supportive and defensive stances towards their country’s security and stability.
He added that Bahrain named one of its main avenues after the late Saudi prince in recognition of his brotherly stances and as a token of gratitude to him. On his part, Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmad Al Khalifa said the late Saudi prince had historic stands regarding Bahrain’s development, security and stability, citing this as a sign of deep and strong relations between both brotherly Gulf nations.
He hailed the late Saudi foreign minister as a model in the history of Arab diplomacy, especially in response to different crises and problems Arab and Muslim countries faced.
The launching ceremony was attended by Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Makkah Governor Prince Khalid AlFaisal, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies Prince Turki AlFaisal, as well as several other senior Bahraini officials and diplomats.
