Bahrain International Airport customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle in a substance suspected to be Shabu weighing 1064.5 grams. Director of Air Ports Customs said that the haul of drug was confiscated on searching a foreign female traveler who was hiding the quantity of shabu in a paper envelope in her bag.
The operation was conducted in cooperation with the Directorate of Anti-narcotics. The suspect and the confiscated drug were referred to the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science for legal proceedings.
