The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index declined by 43.4 points, or 0.85%, to close at 5,053.7 points on Wednesday.
Market capitalisation lost AED 3.71 billion, reaching AED 516.54 billion.
The investment, consumer staples, real estate, and energy sectors lost 5.69%, 4.52%, 2.11%, and 1.53%, respectively, while the telecom sector went down by 1.1% and the banking sector shed 0.55%.
Waha Capital topped the market’s losers, plunging 6.93%, while Dana Gas sank 2.88% and Aldar Properties levelled down by 2.17%.
The ADX’s trading volume hit 53.5 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 211.66 million.
